Dhurandhar 2 Box Office Collection Day 2: Ranveer Singh’s Film Crosses Rs 200 Crore Mark

Ranveer Singh in Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge — film crosses Rs 200 crore nett on day 2 at Indian box office

Ranveer Singh’s action sequel Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge continued its dominant run at the Indian box office on Friday. The Dhurandhar 2 box office collection day 2 stood at Rs 80.72 crore nett, pushing the film past the Rs 200 crore milestone in domestic earnings within just two days of its release.

Day 2 Numbers: Strong Hold Despite Natural Drop

A dip after an explosive opening is standard for any major release, and Dhurandhar 2 was no exception. The film recorded a 21.3% decline from its opening day collection of Rs 102.55 crore. However, the Rs 80.72 crore figure on day 2 still places it among the highest second-day earners in recent Bollywood history.

The numbers were spread across 20,125 shows nationwide. Hindi remained the clear driver — the Hindi version alone pulled in Rs 78.94 crore nett, backed by a strong 64.3% occupancy across 19,025 shows. Overall theatre occupancy for the day held at approximately 62.6%, which is a healthy retention figure given the scale of its opening.

Regional Performance Remains Secondary

While the Hindi belt carried the film comfortably, regional language versions showed limited traction. The Telugu version contributed Rs 1.30 crore from 700 shows with 35.0% occupancy. Tamil added Rs 0.44 crore across 356 shows at 27.0% occupancy.

Markets like Kannada and Malayalam remained largely passive. Kannada earned Rs 0.03 crore from just 20 shows, and Malayalam brought in Rs 0.01 crore from 24 shows. These numbers reflect the film’s primarily Hindi-audience-driven appeal, with limited dubbed-version penetration so far.

Cumulative Milestones: Past Rs 200 Crore and Climbing

The film’s total domestic nett collections now stand at Rs 226.27 crore, with a gross of Rs 269.39 crore. These figures arrive just two days after its March 19 release — a timeline that few Hindi films have managed in recent years.

On Friday alone, Dhurandhar 2 crossed several significant industry benchmarks. It surpassed the lifetime India collections of Sikandar and The Raja Saab earlier in the day. Shortly after, the film overtook Fighter‘s total domestic lifetime earnings of Rs 212 crore nett. At the current pace, it is closing in on War‘s Rs 236 crore nett — one of the genre’s stronger benchmarks in recent memory.

Industry trackers now expect the film to cross the Rs 250 crore domestic mark by end of Saturday.

Global Opening Among Biggest for a Hindi Film

Dhurandhar 2’s worldwide opening day performance was equally significant. The film collected Rs 236.63 crore globally on day 1. Of this, Rs 145.55 crore came from India nett collections and Rs 172.63 crore from the India gross figure. Overseas markets contributed Rs 64 crore to the global day 1 total.

The film had also built strong pre-release momentum through paid previews. Worldwide preview collections reached Rs 73.85 crore, which included Rs 43 crore in India nett, Rs 51.60 crore in India gross, and Rs 22.25 crore from international markets. These preview figures alone would have been considered a solid opening weekend for many mid-budget releases.

About Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge

Released on March 19, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is the direct sequel to last year’s Dhurandhar, which became the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the sequel reunites Ranveer Singh in the lead role. The film also features R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and Rakesh Bedi in key roles.

Dhurandhar 2 box office day 2

The original Dhurandhar had built a strong and loyal audience base, and its sequel appears to be capitalising on that goodwill efficiently. With Saturday and Sunday collections still to come, the film is positioned to deliver one of the biggest opening weekends in recent Hindi cinema.

What to Expect Next?

Weekend collections — particularly Saturday — will be the real indicator of how strong the film’s legs are. A significant jump on day 3 would confirm word-of-mouth traction. A flat or minor increase would suggest the film is running primarily on pre-release hype, which still translates to solid numbers at this scale.

Based on available data and industry estimates, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge remains on course for an opening weekend total north of Rs 300 crore domestically.
