For weeks now, speculations and rumors have been flying around the much-anticipated Vivo X200 series, with Vivo confirming last month that the Chinese version of the series will be officially launched.
To recall, the Vivo X200 series will be the successor to the Vivo X100 series, which had two variants – X100 and X100 Pro. Before the official launch this coming month, official-looking images of all three Vivo X200 models were posted on Weibo.
Key Details about the Vivo X200 series
A four-color variant in a Weibo listing of the Vivo X200 series on Weibo (now removed) revealed that the Vivo X200 and X200 Pro come in four shades — midnight black, moonlight white, sapphire blue, and titanium. And the Vivo X200 Mini appears in black, pink, green, and white shades.
All three handsets are anticipated to go up for pre-orders on October 8 before the real deal launch on October 14. The listing also includes a visual observation that the X200 series will have flat metal sides in a large circular camera island at the back. All handsets will sport ZEISS branding just like the Vivo X100 line.
The new front design advanced with a flat display featuring borders of thin bezels. A leaked screenshot of the Vivo X200 Pro’s AnTuTu score on Weibo pointed out that the smartphone, reportedly to be powered by the MediatTek Dimensity 9400 SoC, scored 3,007,853 points on the AnTuTu benchmarking test. That is the highest score for any smartphone so far.
