The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education has officially announced the RBSE Class 8 result 2026. Students and parents can now access the scorecards directly through the official Shala Darpan portal. With over 12 lakh students clearing the examination this year, the board has recorded a highly impressive overall pass percentage.
High Success Rate Across Rajasthan
The state education board successfully conducted the Class 8 examinations across 10,056 designated centers. These centers accommodated students from both government and private schools across Rajasthan. Out of the 12,86,220 candidates who appeared for the exams, a massive 12,45,735 students successfully cleared them. Consequently, the overall pass rate stands at a remarkable 97.01 percent. This high success rate reflects the dedicated efforts of both the academic institutions and the participating students.

Girls Outshine Boys in Passing Metrics
Consistent with recent educational trends, female students have outperformed their male counterparts in this year’s results. The data released by the board shows that girls achieved a stellar pass percentage of 97.57 percent. Meanwhile, boys secured a pass rate of 96.52 percent. Both demographics demonstrated strong academic performance, but female candidates took a clear lead in the final tallies.
Understanding the Grading System
The Rajasthan Board utilizes a comprehensive grading system rather than relying solely on raw numbers. This methodology provides a broader, more holistic scope of academic assessment. To pass the examination, students must secure a minimum of 33 percent marks in all individual subjects as well as in the aggregate total. The board considers any grade of ‘D’ or higher as a qualifying mark. This structure reduces undue stress and helps evaluate students on a standardized academic curve.
Second Chances: The Supplementary Examinations
While the majority of students celebrated their success, the board also announced that 38,276 students currently fall into the supplementary category. These students did not meet the minimum qualifying criteria in one or more subjects. However, the education board provides a fair opportunity for academic redemption. The board will soon conduct supplementary examinations, allowing these students another chance to improve their marks and secure their promotion to Class 9.
Steps to Access the Online Marksheet
Accessing the results is a straightforward digital process. Students need to visit the official Shala Darpan web portal to view their academic status. On the homepage, candidates must enter their specific login credentials. These required details primarily include the student’s roll number and their respective district name. Once the correct information is submitted, the digital marksheet appears immediately on the screen. Students should download this document for their immediate academic reference.

Important Scorecard Details to Verify
The online marksheet serves as a crucial document for future school admissions. Therefore, students and parents must carefully review all the printed information. The scorecard displays essential details such as the student’s full name, assigned roll number, subject-wise marks obtained, total marks, and the final qualifying status. Furthermore, the official grading system is clearly reflected alongside the subject scores. If any student finds a spelling error or numerical discrepancy on their marksheet, they must immediately contact their respective school administration to initiate the correction process.
