BMW India has unveiled two Mini cars and the latest iteration of the BMW 5 Series. The new Cooper S and the Countryman Electric cost Rs. 449 lakh and Rs. 549 lakh, respectively, and will start shipping this September.

India welcomes the arrival of the new MINI family, which includes the revamped MINI Cooper S and the all-electric MINI Countryman. Customers can buy the cars fully assembled from any official MINI dealership nationwide. The delivery is expected to begin in September 2024. The latest MINI Cooper S is of the fifth generation, and the new electric MINI Countryman blends cutting-edge technology with the iconic design and aesthetic that defines the MINI brand. Together, they deliver a modern aesthetic and an exhilarating driving experience.

Starting with the new Mini Cooper S 

With its contemporary appearance and new functionalities, the latest Cooper S is offered in both Classic and Favored configurations. Some notable features include the following:

  • A wide-angle camera

The latest version designed for India was revealed globally in September last year. The automobile has a 2.0-litre engine with four cylinders running on petrol. It is capable of producing 201 horsepower and delivering 300 Newton meters of torque. Currently, there are no reports concerning the electric version of the Cooper, referred to around the world as the ‘Cooper E’ and ‘Cooper SE’.

Countryman Electric comes in the classic pack.

For the first time, the updated Mini models include the Countryman Electric, which is arriving in India. Modeled after the BMW iX1, it has a 66.45kWh battery for power. With DC fast charging, it takes only 29 minutes to charge from 10% to 80%, and it has a verified range of 462 kilometers. With a power output of 201 horsepower and torque of 250 Newton meters, this vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 8.6 seconds.
