Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge Champion Women’s Reservation Act on AIMC’s 40th Anniversary

Sunday evening 15 September 2024, Rahul Gandhi and the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha are emphasizing the significance of the women’s reservation act as one of the Golden Opportunity. This opportunity focuses on the Congress party for promoting and supporting the women’s leaders to establish and emerge in various ways. His message is marking the 40th anniversary of All India Mahila Congress where Rahul Gandhi has praised the organization for its long-standing commitment to maintaining women’s issues. 

Highlighting his experience during the Bharat Jodo Yatra and Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra where he met the numeral determined woman across India and is and are striving to bring about the societal change. Rahul Gandhi recognized that several of the women displayed remarkable passion and dedication to justice which is often one of the strongest voices against wages forms of injustice. 

He argued that in current and modern times there should be no barriers to providing women the substantial opportunities in public life. He also commanded the Myla Congress member both past and present for their effortless work to build an organization from the ground up. Since this inception with the 1984 Bangalore Convention, A I M C has grown to become a leading voice for justice and can offer an active branch within the Congress Party. Rahul Gandhi has also highlighted the launch of Aimc’s nationwide online membership drive for making new deliverables and milestones for the organization. 

He expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming Pan India leadership training program that can focus on accompanying the membership drive for aiming with the further empowerment of women’s leaders. According to Gandhi, the Women’s Reservation Act represents a significant opportunity for Congress to recognize and nurture leaders at various stages to boost their careers. He’s doing a parallel approach to the transformative impact of the 73rd and 74th constitutional amendments which is significantly increasing the women’s representation in local governance and is particularly focusing on creating comprehensive political participation. 

Further, he is extending his congratulations and best wishes on behalf of AIMC for their foundation day to acknowledge the tireless and effortless work of the associated members in advancing empowerment across India and the globe. He is expressing his admiration for their struggles and dedication to issues of respect safety for women and equality. The President of Congress Mallika Arjun Karge also voiced support for the Women’s Reservation Act. He’s emphasizing that ensuring equal rights for women is not considered a constitutional obligation but a core commitment for the Congress party.
