The National Testing Agency has announced the JEE Mains Session 1 Result 2026, showcasing remarkable academic excellence across the country. Among the standout performers is Dashrath Choudhary, a resident of a small village in Rajasthan’s Barmer district. Securing a stellar 99.62 percentile, Dashrath has emerged as a district topper, proving that grit can overcome geographical barriers.

Dashrath, hailing from the remote “Bhurtiya” village, credited his success to over two years of consistent and rigorous preparation. His achievement is particularly significant as he cleared the B.E./B.Tech examination with flying colors in his very first attempt. For a student from a rural background, competing against lakhs of aspirants at a national level highlights a monumental shift in accessible education.

The JEE Mains Session 1 Result 2026 statistics reveal a highly competitive year. Out of the numerous candidates who appeared, 41 toppers scored above the 93 percentile mark. Impressively, 12 candidates achieved a perfect 100 percentile, setting a high benchmark for the upcoming Session 2 and the Advanced stage.

Focused on JEE Advanced

Despite the celebrations at home, Dashrath remains grounded. He has already shifted his focus toward the next big challenge. “This is the result of hard work, but the journey isn’t over. I am now fully focused on preparing for JEE Advanced, scheduled for April,” Dashrath stated. He expressed confidence in fulfilling his lifelong dream of becoming an engineer by securing a seat in one of the premier IITs.

His father, Rawataram, who serves as an inspector in the Rajasthan Police, expressed immense pride in his son’s dedication. The local community in Barmer celebrated the news with traditional festivities, symbolizing the collective pride of the village in Dashrath’s national-level success.

Understanding the JEE Mains Exam Pattern

The Session 1 exams were conducted in a computer-based mode between January 21 and January 29, 2026. To accommodate the massive volume of applicants, the NTA organized the test in two shifts daily. Most experts categorized the overall difficulty level of the BE/BTech papers as moderate, though certain shifts saw tougher Mathematics and Physics sections.
